Game Modes

UNO offers multiple ways to play. Whether you prefer the standard ruleset or want a fast-paced challenge, there is a mode for every play style.

Classic Mode

Classic Rules

Match by color, number, or symbol to play a card.
Draw one card if you cannot play.
Call UNO when you have one card left.
First player to empty their hand wins the round.
Bet with Coins or Stars — the winner takes the pot (minus a 5% house fee).

Blitz Mode

Fast-Paced

For players who want quicker matches. Blitz Mode uses shorter turn timers, forcing faster decisions and rewarding quick thinking over careful planning.

Blitz Differences

Turn timer is halved to 10 seconds — hesitate and you auto-draw.
Games finish significantly faster, perfect for quick sessions.
Same card rules as Classic — only the pacing changes.
Rewards are identical to Classic at the same bet level.

Custom Games

Private

Create a private room with your own settings. Perfect for playing with friends or practicing specific scenarios.

Customizable Settings

Player Count: Set minimum and maximum players (2-7).
Bet Amount: Choose the entry bet in Coins or Stars.
Private Room: Share an invite link so only your friends can join.

How Matchmaking Works

When you queue for a game, the matchmaking system finds opponents at a similar skill level. The process has three stages:

Gathering — waiting for the minimum number of players to join.

Ready — minimum reached, a 5-15 second adaptive timer starts to allow more players to join.
3
Countdown — final 5-second countdown before the game begins.

Tournaments

Compete in organized bracket-style tournaments for larger prizes. Tournaments follow a registration period, then progress through elimination rounds until a champion is crowned. Check the Tournaments section in the app for upcoming events.
